In a written response to a query by Shiv Sena legislator Manisha Kayande, transportation minister Diwakar Raote advised the governmental Council the authorities will plant five times that the trees which are going to be cut to get the undertaking.
“The job will operate on high beams, to guarantee the damage to mangroves and the surroundings is minimal. The floodwater won’t input Navi Mumbai, as no mangroves have been cut in the region.”
Raote explained the government is in discussions with locals that will be impacted by the undertaking and will provide them suitable reparation.
In response to the following query by Congress legislator Sharad Ranpise, the state authorities stated a total of 1,379 ha is proposed to be obtained for the job.
In Mumbai, the country will buy 39.252 sqm of private property in Vikhroli for its undertaking.
The authorities will obtain 188ha of land. At Palghar district, impacting 3,498 families. Of this, 2.95 hectares of land was bought by the authorities.
At Thane district, 6,589 farmers, who have 84.81ha, should be influenced by the undertaking. Obviously, 2.95ha was bought by the authorities.
