After a massive victory in the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will swear with the new Council of Ministers on Thursday for the second term. In the meantime, there is a secret about who will get the four key charges – Home, Finance, Defense and Foreign.
President Ramnath Kovind (Ram Nath Kovind) will give an oath to Modi and his cabinet colleagues in the court premises. Before taking the oath, PM Modi reached Rajghat and Atal Samadhi on Thursday morning.
He paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Apart from this, the National War Memorial rehearsed the martyrs. When Modi will be sworn in at around seven o’clock in the evening, this will be the second time when he will swear in the court premises.
Modi was sworn in by the then President Pranab Mukherjee in the presence of more than 3,500 guests including heads of SAARC countries in 2014.
