New Delhi: People suffering from diabetes are treated with the help of insulin. But according to this research, Diabetes Type-1 can now be treated without insulin. In the area of the treatment of diabetes, Indian therapists have discovered important. According to doctors, this type of diabetes can be easily treated by detecting this type of diagnosis. They say that diabetes sufferers often have to take insulin while insulin is possible without the treatment of Type 1 diabetes. In this research published in the journal ‘BMC Medical Genetics’, titled ‘Maturity Onset Diabetes of the Young’ (MODY), researchers have mentioned the type of diarrhea.

Dr. Andrew Mohammed and Dr. S. Radha Venkatesan of Madras Diabetes Research Foundation (MDRF), Dr. Andrew S. from Genentech, California. This research was published in collaboration with Dr. Ramprasad and Sam Santosh from Peterson, Dr. Somashekhar Sheshagiri and Dr. Thong T. Nguyen and Medzenom, India.

Physicians said that there are two types of diabetes in general. Diabetes mellitus type 1 is reported to young people or children. Patients with MODY are usually weak and due to their low age they are said to be suffering from type 1 diabetes and they are advised to take insulin injections throughout life.

Diabetes type-2 diabetes usually affects adults and excludes the last levels of the illness, there is no need for insulin to control hyperglycemia.

Dr. V. Mohan, Director, MDRF said, “The importance of detecting the monogenic model of diabetes like MODY is up to the correct investigation as patients are often misinformed with type 1 diabetes and they are treated as non-essential. It is advisable to take insulin injections for whole life. Once the MODY is detected, in most of the MODY cases, insulin injections can be completely stopped. And these patients are treated with very cheap sulfonylurea tablet, which is used for the treatment of diabetes for decades. As far as the treatment and the life of these patients and their families, it is a dramatic change. ”

Dr. Radha Venkatesan, Head of Genomics, MDRF said, “This is the first time in the world that NKX 6-1 gene mutation has been defined as a new type of MODY. This type of MODY is unique to Indians only. Or it is also found in other people, it will be further study to check it further.
