Indian team wins FIH Women Series Finals

Hiroshima: With the help of two goals of Gurjit Kaur, the Indian team won the title of FIH Women’s Series Finals by defeating Japan 3-1. In the semi-finals of the tournament, on Saturday, Chile defeated by Indian Women’s team and India qualified for the Olympic qualifiers.

India scored a 1-0 lead by the penalty corner in the third minute. For India, this goal was made by captain Rani Rampal. After that Japan equalized 1-1 through field goals in the 11th minute. It was scored by Kanon Mori for Japan.

There was no goal in the second quarter, but in the last minute of the third quarter, Gurjit Kaur scored a goal for India with a superb drag flick. India reached the final quarter with a 2-1 lead.

Shikhar Dhavan ruled out of the entire world cup, Pant will take place.

Although there were many opportunities to equalize the Japanese team in this quarter, they could not afford to redeem them. India, however, scored a penalty corner in the 60th minute and ensured India’s victory with a gap of 3-1.
